Racing Ahead

A couple of weeks ago on Easter Saturday I spent one of best days out I had in a long time. So too did the rest of my family. And what's more against popular belief we actually ended up spending very little.

Admittedly it was rather cold, but this did not deter my two young children from returning to the coarse time after time to cheer on the horses we had selected for our placepots. My two year old at the end was yelling 'come on, come on!', completely caught up in the excitement of the day. My stepdaughter was clearly delighted to win 80p from a 20p bet she had placed, correctly stating that it was great to win, money not being an issue!

Although we didn't use it there was a free creche facility and a whole selection of bouncy castles and ball pools for children of all ages should they not be interested in the racing as my two were.

More likely than not we will spend another day at the races on Sunday 13th April, Sundays being our only day off from the busy life of managing a Self-catering Cottage and Fishing holiday site. Jonny our reliable and friendly bailiff will be on site to see to everyone's fishing in Devon needs, whilst we cheer on our next hopeful.

A great day out for the whole family. Why not give it a whirl next time you're here in Devon on your fishing holiday. Fishing holidays in Devon have never been so good!
