Hi everyone

Here is some information on the Newbarn Farm Cottages and Angling Centre Hair Rig, to use with your Devon Fishing

How to tie The Hair Rig or the knotless Knot

In this article you will be shown how to tie a hair rig, also known as a knotless knot, a good knot for all aspects of fishing.

This step by step guide should show you how to make the hair rig.

1. Pull about 8 inches of line or braid off the spool, then tie a small hoop in the end of it, then feed the hooped end through the front of the hook.

2. Next pull the line down the shank of the hook, until the loop at the end of the line sits

about an inch below the bend in the hook. This length can very depending on the bait you use.

3. With the line you have left begin to wrap the line from the bottom of the eye down the shank of the hook .about 10 times then 2 times back up the shank and feed the end of the line through the back of the hook and pull tight.

4. The end result should look something like this.

The knotless knot is the same method but there is no hoop and no need for the long hair.

This is a strong and tidy knot so have a go.

GOOD LUCK !!
