Here at Newbarn Farm we are AGAIN experiencing some fantastic weather for this time of year, we can hardly believe that coats are not required and that our sweatshirts are neatly folded on the shelf gathering dust!
The guys here spent last week and will again this week putting up 6 large wrought iron repro Victorian Street Lamps, they will look fantastic when all up and working and as the nights close in will add warmth to Newbarn Farm's rustic exterior charm! Another project in the pipeline is to light up the majestic Oak Tree at the entrance of the Cottage carpark - which I am sure will create a mysterious aura just in time for the ghouls and ghosts on the night of Halloween!
Just a couple of the planned improvements which will add to the ambience of our luxury self-catering cottages and fishing lakes. And with the weather continuing to surprise us after such a dismal summer we have decided to offer all our guests staying in our holiday cottages not only an opportunity to experience all our latest developments first hand but also an offer of FREE fishing* - YES THAT IS FREE FISHING for an entire week's stay!Hurray whilst the offer lasts!

We have just spent a week at New Barn Cottages and stayed in Pheasants Hide. Well what can I say , all was as promised and better than we expected . The cottage was spacious enough for 2 people , the bed very comfortable , all mod cons catered for even down to tablets for dishwasher [an absolute must when on holiday], soap in the bathroom , loo roll , soft fluffy towels , it was like a 4 star hotel , nothing like the usual fishing accomodation we have stayed in before. Coffee and tea with fresh milk for that well needed cuppa after a long journey.
The scenery was breathtaking and so peaceful . Even if not fishing an excellent place to stay for discovering Devon.
I will be recommending this this lovely holiday place to my friends.
