Ghostly Fishing in Devon at Newbarn Farm!

As the nights draw in - venture forth into the depths of the unknown...

When the sun sets late this autumn, after a day's fishing here at Newbarn Farm, a great Fishing Holiday in Devon location; the full moon will be reflected in the waters of Mirror Lake with the Ghost Carp swimming to the depths of the silty floor for fear of being spooked by something more sinister lurking close by!!!!

Spooky Halloween Week of Horrors kicks of with The Wicked Witch of the Woods making an appearance at Woodlands during 'Halloween Happenings' from October 26th - October 31st. Don't just come yourself and have a wicked time bring Ghoulish Dads, Ghostly Mums and dastardly friends they'll have a bewitching time as well. FREE pumpkins & carving, workshops, Trick or Treat, Fiendish Beasties and a Ghost Train. All taking place at Woodlands Leisure Park, Devon TQ9 7DQ. Open daily from 9.30am.
And, as the witching hour draws near join the Haldon Rangers for a feast of Halloween Horrors storytelling around a campfire in the forest! Why not get into the spirit of the event and come in fancy dress? Prize for the under 15's and warm punch will be provided. Well behaved (and quiet!) dogs welcome. Expectations will be at fever pitch as Spangles the Clown and Ben the Master Juggler march with flaming torches to light the Wizards Bonfire. The leaping flames will light up the stalls and games as the Live Band get's everyone's feet stomping. Best Wizard, Witch & Warlock fancy dress competition & parade plus new for this year - Best Guy competition. Fancy a spot of fishing in Devon - why not pick Newbarn Farm for your angling needs. Here we have eight 4 star luxury self-catering cottages with fishing. And that's not all thriving within the boundaries of the farm's outer hedges.

For several months now Richard and his team have been clearing the densely populated copse at the bottom of Eleven Acre field, paths have been cleared and brambles thinned to allow access through this beautiful haven to wildlife. Boxes for the Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, Bats, Insects, Dormice, Various Tits and Treecreepers have all now been erected for nesting purposes early next Spring when the woodland bluebell will be in full bloom making this a truly magical home for our wildlfe friends! More of our wildlife friends have been making appearances throughout the night - here are just a few of the inhabitants of Newbarn Farm's Nature Trail!
